Reading is a beautiful thing. Make sure to read twenty minutes a day, every day!

National School Library Month is celebrated in October. It brings attention to the importance of school libraries in the education of our children. Harry Hooge students and staff will join other schools in British Columbia on Monday, October 28 to celebrate our school library. Our entire school will gather in the gym to Drop Everything and Read.

Used Book Sale!

Monday May 5, Tuesday May 6, Wednesday May 7  in the library

Hours: 8:20 – 8:45 am & 2:00 – 2:45 pm

Don’t miss our annual Used Book Sale! Children’s books are .25 & .50 so this is a great opportunity to stock up for summer reading. Books for sale include discards from our library collection and donated books.

Donations of children’s storybooks, chapter books, and comics in good condition are gladly accepted. Adult paperbacks are popular sellers but please no encyclopedias, textbooks or outdated materials.  Please see Mrs. Rose in the library if you have any books you would like to donate.

Proceeds from the book sale will be used to purchase new materials for the library.
