GENERAL

Food drive … please remember your food donation. We are building holiday hampers for families in our Westview community as well as collecting donations for the food bank.

There will be a Winter Bake Sale on Dec 15th at lunch in the front foyer (Dec 11). Baked goods would be $0.50 – $1.50. All proceeds will go towards the Christmas Hampers.

A reminder that there are to be no phones at all during PE classes and absolutely no video recording of classes dancing – if you use your phone during class it will be taken straight to the office for the day. Thank you from the PE team.

The annual Door Decorating competition has begun!  You have 15 days from today (Nov 30)  to decorate your door. May the odds be ever in your favour.

Do you have mad Rubik’s Cube Skills? You may be interested in joining a Rubik’s Cube Club. We will be meeting after school Monday’s in room 1173, see Mrs. Jensen for details.

If you have skateboards and scooters, please make sure to secure the boards in your lockers and scooters must be put away for the day. To prevent accidents in the hallway, these items must not be ridden in the hallways. These will be kept for the day if they are used inside.

Reminder from The Westview Pride Club, our school’s LGBTQ Club – we meet Thursdays at lunch in Ms. Labelle’s room 1070.

A reminder to all students: when you are inside the building, please make sure you remove your hoods.

GRADS

Grads, your help is needed!  Sign up to volunteer on the Dry Grad Facebook page for the bottle drive and Krispy Cream donut sale on January 6, 10 – 3!

Hey Grads. Reminder your Grad Potluck is tonight (Dec 14) from 6-9pm. Remember to sign up on the Grad Board by the leadership room, and bring your own pop/juice! Bring games to play!

Attention all Grade 12 students: Your baby photo and yearbook write-up are both due on December 22nd. You’ve had since September to get this in…… You don’t want to miss out! Please see Mrs. Sanderson if you need assistance.

A reminder that Grad fees are now due – please bring your Application for Participation form with your payment to Ms. Hibbeln in the main office.

Student Transcripts

Starting September 24, 2017, the Ministry of Education will launch StudentTranscripts, a web-based service that makes secure transcript sharing between students and participating post-secondary institutions quicker and more convenient. Career Centre

The Vancouver International Children’s Festival is celebrating their 41st year!  Key Volunteers needed!  What a great opportunity to show your leadership skills.

Sports:

There will be a brief rugby meeting in Mr. Wood’s room (room 1011 – across from The Pit) on Thursday, December 14 at lunch for any boys in grades 8 – 12 who are interested in playing this year.
